Laura was member of the New Mexico National Guard, a Special Education teacher for 20 years and has lived in many states as an Army Wife. She began training dogs in 2008 in Austin, Tx. In 2012, she moved to Colorado and completed the Dog Trainer program with Animal Behavior College. She did a 6 month internship with Wag Dog Training in Colorado Springs. Laura joined the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and the Pet Professional Guild and attends yearly seminars, conferences and webinars to obtain continuing education credits and stay on top of the current research and most effective training methods. Laura opened Sit Stay Play Colorado in 2014. Laura has been involved in animal rescue and training for over 30 years, in various ways. Laura currently has 4 dogs, Cheyenne, Cub, Rocky, and Keno, and a cat named Winston.
